Feeding Instructions:

SUPER MOM feed should be offered to cows during the transit period after calving. It should be fed as a supplement to forage and hay. Offer SUPER MOM feed to cows in the form of a top dress or mixed with other feedstuffs.

For cows with milk production of 10-15 liters per day, the recommended feeding dose of SUPER MOM feed in the transit period after calving is 4-6 kg per day.

  1. Ensure cattle are provided with water and have access to a clean, fresh water source.
  2. Offer small amounts of feed several times a day, rather than large amounts of feed all at once.
  3. Monitor the health of the cattle, checking for signs of illness, injury, or parasites.

4 Allow the cattle to rest in a comfortable, safe area with adequate ventilation and protection from the weather.

  1. Provide additional bedding and/or hay to keep the cattle warm and comfortable during winters.
  2. Make sure surface is clean and disinfected.
  3. Check the cattle regularly during transport to ensure they are not in distress or suffering from the conditions of the journey.

Management Tips for Fresh Cattle

  • Provide adequate Super MOM feed and water. Freshly calved cows need plenty of energy to produce milk and recover from calving. Make sure they always have access to clean water and high-quality feed.
  • Monitor their health. Check for signs of illness or injury, such as reduced appetite, coughing, or limping.
  • Keep them comfortable. Maintaining a comfortable temperature and avoiding drafts is important for the cows’ health.
  • Monitor their weight. Keep track of the cows’ body condition score and adjust their feed accordingly.
  • Monitor milk production. Milk production should increase as the cow’s condition improves.
  • Reduce stress. Minimize stress by providing plenty of space, avoiding overcrowding, and providing a comfortable place to rest.
  • Consider supplements. Consider adding minerals or vitamins to the cows’ diet if needed.
  • Be vigilant. Be on the lookout for any signs of illness or injury and contact a veterinarian if needed.
  • Introduce gradually. Start with small portions and gradually increase the amount of feed over the first 45 days.
  • Monitor body condition. Monitor the cows’ body condition score and adjust the feed accordingly.
